Siam Discovery - Siam Center - Siam Paragon

Since all the buildings are just next to one another, why not visit them all on the same day?

First and foremost. Privilege card for Tourists. Be sure to bring your passport if you are planning to apply. They do offer a lot of benefits such as discounts at selected stores for all of the shopping malls mentioned below.

First stop, Siam Discovery. The tuk-tuk driver drop us on the other side of the road and directed us to use the bridge. Despite the branches, it is relatively easy to find with the help of asking friendly locals here.

They have an Amway Store! Where you pick up the stuff you want and pay them at the cashier. Just like in a supermarket!

It's huge!
Next, Siam Center. They are having this show of Mr. P.

Sad to say that the Magnum Cafe at Siam Center is CLOSED!!!! Wish people would actually post on their blog or their website saying that it's closed! I wasted a day's trip here just to find out that the place is closedddd!!! YES, I'M UPSET! What gave it away?

I did try Mr Jones' Orphanage while I was here though. The lady at the information counter recommended this after giving me an apologetic smile, having to break the bad news of Magnum Cafe is closed!

Mr. Jones'
Since I love the decoration of this store so much, I'll dedicate the next post, just to blog about the decoration and presentation of the food here! :)

Last stop. Siam Paragon. I love the deco here. But I have to say, coming to Thailand means budget vacation. and I was greeted by the high end fashion stores the moment I walked in. That'll be Hermes on the right and LV on the left. Needless to say, we took a quick window shopping and went back to Siam Center.

Look at the store! I love how they arrange the store and the number of brands they offer!

One particular brand attracted my attention.
Villains SF

Still looking normal?
 Let's take a closer look.

Beheaded Barbie Dolls
While mom and aunt decided to do a little grocery shopping, me and my cousin took the opportunity to try out the salad bar at Gourmet Market!
THB25 for every 100g

Wide variety

Variety of Beans & Vege

Dressing section
I wish my campus offer this salad bar! I'll definitely be your regular customer.

Another thing I found interesting as I was leaving Siam 'buildings' is ...
Illegal Street Vendors
I just snap a picture and was about to take a closer look at what they were selling. Suddenly, there was chaos! Everything was a blur!
Vendors quickly pack their goods

Rolling up the mat

Over the shoulders and off they went!
Why is that? Apparently some officers turn up and was about to fine them or worse, confiscate their goods! All that is over within 2 minutes tops!

However, these people have a living to make. They soon settle down at the pedestrian walk downstairs.

Just a friendly reminder, these shopping malls offer branded goods. Things here are not cheap but there is a wide variety of choices. If you are looking for branded things that will last, this is definitely the place to go.
